A dealer event organised by goMICE<\/h2>\n

Earlier this month, a client from the visual communication division organised a dealer event via goMICE for the second time. Two years ago, we organised this together with them for the first time at Beeld & Geluid. A very successful one event<\/a><\/strong> And so this year the second edition was organised. Our client wanted this to take place once again at a special location, in the middle of the country.<\/p>\n

The location for the meeting<\/strong><\/h4>\n

To find a suitable venue for an event, it is important to clearly map out the client's requirements. Taking into account the expected number of attendees, preferences regarding location, experiences from the previous event, and the set budget, we have presented a number of carefully selected venues.<\/p>\n

The choice ultimately fell on the Moeke venue in Nijkerk. Before everything was finalised, goMICE scheduled a venue visit together with the client. Of course, a lot of information can be gathered from images and texts, but it is only during a venue visit that you truly get a feel for the place and can experience the atmosphere. Our client was very enthusiastic about the venue! Great, the preparations could begin!<\/p>\n

Lead-up to the event<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In the run-up to the programme, this client used the goMICE registration tool. A very handy tool that allows participants to register and goMICE to track all sign-ups, including any preferences passed on, such as dietary requirements and other important comments from participants. We maintained weekly contact with the client to provide updates on the state of affairs. In this way, the client benefits from a good and clear overview of registrations without having to invest their own time in it. No more keeping track of emails and Excel spreadsheets, goMICE does that for you.<\/p>\n

Date of the event<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On the day of the event itself, we from goMICE will of course also be present. A few hours before the start, we are ready on location to discuss all the details one last time with the contact person from the venue for that day and with the client's contact person. At some venues, this is quite a task and requires hard work to ensure everything runs smoothly. Fortunately, this was not the case at Moeke. They had everything properly organised, everything was ready as agreed, and they were constantly available for questions and assistance.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, all attendees were registered and received a personal name badge. Coffee and tea were then ready for them, followed shortly by a delicious lunch. A variety of luxury rolls, a homemade tomato soup and a croquette roll, there was plenty of choice for everyone!<\/p>\n

Speaker<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Next, it was time for the plenary part of the afternoon. Following a brief introduction by the company's Country Manager for the Netherlands, the floor was given to Frans Hoek, a Dutch goalkeeping coach and former goalkeeper. He played ten years for FC Volendam and subsequently worked as a goalkeeping coach at clubs including Ajax, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and the Dutch national team. He provided an interesting insight behind the scenes of his training sessions and the preparations that are made prior to every match to achieve the ideal outcome from set pieces. Very interesting!<\/p>\n

2CV tour<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Around three o'clock, the drinks were ready with a nice snack and beverage. Everyone had a brief moment to catch up! Preparations for the activity also had to be made. Everyone had been divided into groups for this afternoon's surprise activity: a tour in 2CVs! Fortunately, there was a short instructional video on how to drive these cars, because driving them is quite different from driving an average modern car!<\/p>\n

Each team had to devise a tactic to score the most points. Enthusiastically, the participants went into consultation and the rivalry was already radiating from some of them. One by one, the cars set off and went on their way in search of assignments and questions to answer.<\/p>\n

Whoever had managed to secure the most points by the end of the afternoon could call themselves the proud winner and received a lovely prize. After all the teams had returned to Moeke, there was plenty of discussion amongst themselves about the questions and tasks. Everyone had had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, one that won't be forgotten in a hurry. After all, who still drives a 1984 2CV nowadays?<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/h4>\n

During the dinner, the winning team was announced, after which everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, all participants were given a wonderful goodie bag to take home by the client. goMICE handed these out and helped with the dismantling and clearing away of the final items that were going back with the client. All participants and our client stated that they had a very enjoyable and interesting day. That makes us very happy, because that is what you do it for, of course! Who knows, we may be allowed to assist our client with a similar event in two years' time, we are ready for it Anyway, ready for it!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
