An incentive trip to Albania? This customer did it!
An experience that connects, surprises, and has a lasting impact in the workplace? For this client, that’s the standard they set every year. The requirements? No standard location, no predictable programme. But instead: an experience that people will remember. And this time, they chose a destination where almost no one from the company had ever been: Albania.
Far from the beaten track
For this client, an incentive trip is really all about the experience. And so every year, they look for an original location. Together, we settled on an original destination that's really taking off. A country with character, sun, adventure, and raw beauty: Albania. Not necessarily the most obvious choice, but that's precisely why it worked out so well.

From teaser to dessert: everything is perfect
The success of an incentive trip isn't solely down to the trip itself. The pre- and post-trip phases are at least as important. And they also hit the mark. The pre-trip excitement started with a teaser video, which gave away just enough to pique curiosity. We kept the real details secret until just before departure. Only the evening before did participants receive the full programme via the app, complete with a fitting gift: a branded cooling towel. No unnecessary luxury given the predicted 30 degrees in Tirana.
Jazz in a bunker and classics on the motorway
What made the journey truly special were the surprises. Like the moment the group thought they were boarding a regular coach for an excursion, only to be picked up in a procession of vintage cars. Classic cars that guaranteed an unforgettable ride. Or the visit to BUNK’ART 1, a former nuclear bunker, which was raw, confronting, and impressive. Where the history of Albania became palpable. Then to round off the evening with an intimate jazz concert, a glass of bubbly in hand and the realisation that freedom is a precious commodity.
A programme with punch
The days in Albania were well-filled: varied, active, and surprising. Exactly what you want from a sales incentive. The company wanted to reward their team for their performance, strengthen their bonds, and gain energy for what's to come. And they succeeded. The combination of the original destination, a tight programme, and surprising details meant that everyone returned home enthusiastic.

goMICE behind the scenes
Such a trip doesn't just materialise out of thin air, of course. For goMICE This was a project where everything came together. From location proposals to logistics, from finding reliable local partners to flawlessly executing the programme. In a country not yet entirely accustomed to MICE travel, it requires that little bit more coordination. But that's precisely what we love: doing things differently. With an eye for detail and a feel for timing.
The result: wildly enthusiastic participants
What stuck with the group was the overall picture of the surprises and the destination. An incentive like this does something to people. They grow closer, feel they are part of something special, and return to the office with renewed energy. The effect was exactly what the client had in mind!
