A sailing race on the water. A convoy of jeeps to a winery. And then four helicopters fly back to Lisbon along the Portuguese coast.
Sounds like a pretty impressive program? It was indeed.
For a group of colleagues, goMICE organized a three-day incentive trip to Lisbon, where we really got the most out of the destination. The group knew where the trip was going, but the program remained a surprise. And with this lineup of experiences, we had quite a few wonderful things in store for them.
From the first lunch with a view over the city to the last brunch.
This was Lisbon, the goMICE way.

Lisbon is a destination where you can explore in every direction. Literally. One day you’re in the heart of the bustling city center, the next day you’re enjoying Portuguese wines in a beautiful location outside the city. And in between, the coast, the water, and the best restaurants are all within easy reach.
For this incentive trip, we were able to put together a program in which one experience surpassed the other. With special locations, surprising transfers, and activities that truly brought the group together.
And the best part? The participants had no idea what we had all arranged for them.
First, get the water up. And then it gets seriously fun.
Upon arrival, the Bairro Alto Hotel awaited us in the heart of Lisbon’s bustling city center. Just a short stop? Hardly. After lunch with a view over the city, it was time to get dressed and the first team experience began.
And that was one to remember quickly.
The group first received an inspiring talk from a professional speaker who is also a sailor himself. Then it was time to put the theory into practice. The water was ready for a real sailing race!
Working together, communicating, making the right choices and, of course, trying to be the first to finish. Team building in a way that you won’t soon forget. With the Portuguese coast as the backdrop, this immediately became one of the highlights of the trip.
And that was just the beginning.
Afterwards, there was time for drinks and snacks and a quick refresh at the hotel. Later that evening, Palacio Chiado awaited us; an impressive palace in the middle of Lisbon. A location where you can move from one beautiful space to another and the surroundings continue to surprise you.
And the best part? For the closing of the evening, the group didn’t even have to leave the palace. At Bar Sala, the music started and the first day was concluded dancing.

Four helicopters. One unforgettable surprise.
The next day began quietly with a hearty breakfast. But outside the hotel something completely different was already waiting for us.
A whole row of jeeps.
The group got in and set off in a column towards the Portuguese countryside. That journey alone was an experience in itself. The destination? Adega Mãe, a beautiful winery nestled among the vineyards, where an extensive lunch with local flavors and regional wines was prepared.
But this location had something special.
From the balcony you could see out over the vineyards. A beautiful view in itself, until suddenly something completely different appeared on the screen.
Four helicopters.
And those weren't just part of the view.
From the balcony, the group could see the helicopters landing among the vineyards. Because Simone and Michelle had arranged a very special return trip to Lisbon.
After lunch, the participants boarded the aircraft and the four helicopters took off one by one. From the air, they flew past the impressive Portuguese coast towards the city. A completely different perspective on the surroundings and an experience that you don’t get to have every day with your colleagues.

From high in the sky to Lisbon after dark
After that spectacular afternoon, the group had a moment to let all the impressions sink in. Back at the hotel, a few hours of free time was scheduled so that everyone could relax and prepare for the evening.
Because that one was allowed to be there too.
The evening began with drinks in the heart of Lisbon, followed by a dinner at a hidden gem in the city. And then? A VIP experience at one of Lisbon’s iconic clubs.
From flying over the Portuguese coast to dancing together until the early hours of the morning. The program never failed to surprise.
And it was this combination that made this incentive trip so special. One moment enjoying a comprehensive lunch in a beautiful location together, the next moment experiencing an experience that no one could have foreseen.
One more time together at the table
Even on the last morning Lisbon still had something beautiful in store for us.
After a quiet breakfast and checking out, the group headed to a special location for a farewell brunch. One last time together at the table, reminiscing about the past few days and of course the stories about the sailing race, the jeeps and picking up those four helicopters.
After that, it was time to head to the airport.
Three days in Lisbon. And with a lot more memories.

Behind such a program lies quite a bit of organization. Simone laid the foundation for this incentive trip, and Michelle later joined the project. Together, they ensured that all the special moments came together into one unforgettable experience.
Organizing a sailing race, having a column of jeeps drive in, and having four helicopters ready at exactly the right moment? That requires a significant dose of creativity, good preparation, and a team that knows how to turn extraordinary ideas into reality.
And then Simone and Michelle stood together on a rooftop in Lisbon, looking out over the city, with the realization of what they had together.
Wow. We managed to pull this off together nicely.
