An incentive trip to Stockholm
Stockholm is the sort of city everyone wants to visit at least once, and in my opinion that is completely justified. Perhaps as a study trip or as incentive travel Thinking of visiting Stockholm? Not only because of its clean and friendly image, but also because Scandinavian cities are somewhat similar to Dutch ones.
Stockholm's best-known district is Gamla Stan. This is the place where the city was founded in 1252 (meaning: stock = log and holm = small island). Gamla Stan is therefore an old area with many small pubs and restaurants where you can always go, especially in the evening, and sample the idyllic atmosphere of the city. Particularly with not too large groups, you will experience the true Swedish life here as it used to be.

Going to Stockholm with 80 people
A group of 80 people focused on sustainable entrepreneurship visited Stockholm this summer. GoMICE put together a programme that naturally took the objectives of this incentive trip into account, but also left room for exploring the city in other aspects.
Often we choose a hotel near the Waterfront because of its location close to the Central Station. With the Arlanda Express you are at the station in no time from the airport and you can walk to your hotel. Ideal for an active travel experience.
Cycling is very good in Stockholm. That is best in the summer. We always combine a ride with a visit to the famous Östermalm market Stockholm.

Sustainability is paramount
Stockholm is known as a city where sustainability is well combined with a pleasant living environment. For example, Hammarby Sjöstad is one of the most successful sustainable urban regeneration districts in the world. Be sure to also watch the video below.

Book incentive travel to Stockholm?
Besides IKEA and Volvo, Sweden has much more to offer with Stockholm. We therefore frequently bring groups focused on retail, architecture and sustainability to Stockholm. But also government organisations that want to look at the urban design of Stockholm (whether or not in combination with Copenhagen).
It's only about a 2-hour flight, making it a great city to explore with goMICE!

A must-do in Stockholm: a visit to the Aifur Pub. A unique experience, I think! Get a small taste of the atmosphere with the photo below!

Sweden is also known for its neutrality and climate. It has not been involved in a war since 1814. The climate in summer is certainly interesting and special, with “long” summer evenings when the sun only sets just before midnight.
