Majorca, a beautiful and versatile island with something for everyone
To mark our client's 15th anniversary, we travelled to beautiful Mallorca. A 3-day incentive trip with a full itinerary. Read more about how we filled our time in the article below. To ensure everything went smoothly and to make the necessary preparations, a contact person from the company and I were already present at the venue a day in advance. The goodie bags are being prepared and the final purchases are being made.
Day 1: welcome drinks with a stunning view over the harbour & dinner in a characteristic corn mill
The morning of the group's arrival. We are busy preparing the goodie bags (which will be left in the rooms) and making sure the welcome drinks are ready and set up shortly. At Schiphol, Talitha is meeting the group for check-in. And while Talitha is busy ensuring the group departs without a care, we are filling the balloons with helium and hanging up the flags for decoration. All set and ready to go!
The participants (from Copenhagen and Amsterdam) arrive at the airport late in the afternoon, after which they will take the bus to the hotel. The welcome drinks start and, while enjoying a nice drink and wonderful weather, the participants have a fantastic view over the port of Palma de Mallorca. Enjoy!
Meanwhile, the room keys are being handed out so that everyone can go straight to their hotel room later. After all, following the drinks reception it will be time to freshen up before dinner in the evening.
And what a dinner! A dinner in the charming setting of a centuries-old corn mill. Here, the meat is prepared in an authentic way over a wood fire.
Day 2: time on the water by exclusive catamaran & traditional paella dinner
After a good night's sleep, it is time to take to the water. After a walk along Palma's harbour, the group arrives at the catamaran, where the company flags are already flying from the mast. Upon boarding, all participants receive the custom-made “company sunglasses” that we arranged for them. On board, the group enjoys the sunshine, the sea breeze, music, refreshing drinks and a catered barbecue.
Towards the end of the afternoon, there is free time for the group, while Talitha and I have to knuckle down to get the decoration for the evening programme sorted out.
This evening the dinner takes place in a beach club in Illetas. Beautifully situated with a view of the sea. Here, guests will enjoy local paella and a delicious chocolate dessert. After dinner, everyone will hit the dance floor, where happy hardcore is a must. People dance enthusiastically until 2 in the morning. Afterwards, it is time to leave and perhaps go to sleep? Wrong! For many, it is not yet time to go to bed. They carry on partying in Palma city, until the early hours.
Day 3: beach games & finger food lunch
Despite the long party night, everyone is ready and waiting early for the beach games. There is enthusiastic volleyball, a bit of kickabout here and there, Frisbee and swimming. After a closing finger-food lunch on the hotel terrace, it is time to leave. This brings the incomparable trip to an end.
An extra day to spend in Mallorca?
Time flies when you're incentive travel, but should you having another extra day or looking for an additional activity, a jeep safari is highly recommended. This full-day tour is packed with adventure, fun and thrills. You will see a lot of Mallorca's landscape, enjoy beautiful views and (of course) do some off-road driving. Along the way, a stop will be made for lunch and there is the opportunity to take a refreshing dip.
