Week 2 – 2018. Inside ‘the week of’ goMICE Project Managers, or other team members, share their working week in a new blog. This week you get to watch and read along with the week of goMICE Operations Manager Elsbeth!
Monday
We start every working week with ‘the kick-off of the week’. After we have discussed with each other whether everyone enjoyed the weekend, we kick off as a team with this brief meeting.
We are discussing current and upcoming projects, sharing all necessary information and conferring on where we can help and support each other. Not only are we working on existing requests, but we also have many new requests in our mailbox again. For example, an incentive trip to New York and Berlin, and we are also taking care of 100 flight tickets to Madrid.
Tuesday
Once a month, we meet as a Management Team. From the 31stste floor of our office we have a wonderful view over Rotterdam! During the first MT meeting of this year we will look back in particular at the year 2017, but we will also look ahead together to 2018! What is this year going to bring us all and what are our objectives?
In the afternoon I have a meeting with a number of project managers and we are fine-tuning the final details for the inspection trips that will take place next week. Furthermore, a number of groups are also departing again. A number of groups will be accompanied by our project managers. We are also putting the finishing touches to things with them. In the meantime, we are briefly distracted by a huge crane passing our office.
Wednesday
This morning I am working remotely and helping out where necessary. We are scheduling a date for a meeting with one of our regular clients. This year, the inspiration trip for nearly 300 people is heading to Italy. This is always a great challenge as we are dividing the group across various flights (by scheduled service and private jet) from different airports, with everyone needing to arrive around the same time. Thursday
We are starting the day again with a short team meeting. Does everyone have everything under control and is everything still running according to our schedules? A number of groups have returned this week and we are calling these clients back immediately to ask if the trip went to their liking. In the afternoon we have a meeting in which the goMICE app is presented and explained. It has turned out to be a wonderful app that we can use for a incentive travel, Meetings of Events. The official launch is coming soon! The goMICE activation and/or travel and event app can be completely tailored for our clients, brilliant! We are happy to tell you more about this app.
Friday
This week was once again packed with inspiring requests, surprising challenges and ….. teamwork! The goMICE team is growing rapidly and we recently welcomed new reinforcement to our department in Moniek. Another new project manager will also be starting on 15 February. Today, Moniek is helping to work out the programme for a wonderful trip to a Spanish city. A trip where guests will stay in luxury accommodation, view the city by helicopter and the group will be transported by limousine, complete with Champagne. Nothing is too much trouble for us and goMICE arranges it for you with great pleasure!
