Organising an event for 120 participants
Organising an event? For many years we have had the pleasure of corporate group travel organising international travel for Total Nederland. Over the years, national events have also been added to this, which we are very proud of. By now, we know the customer's specific wishes and are consistently able to respond to them effectively. As always, we go above and beyond and we are not satisfied until every detail has been arranged. This time, we at goMICE organised an event for 120 participants at the Groot Heideborgh Garderen venue.
For this event too, we had a lot of prior contact to arrange matters to perfection with the client. On 29 November we had another appointment at the venue with our contact persons to discuss all the details with them one more time.
Also, we were able to fully express our creativity and surprised them with a few “unusual” activities. That is what we enjoy doing the most: surprising clients with our input and creativity!
On 30 November I picked up my colleague at 06:00 to ensure that we would be there well in time.
The preparation for such an event
Once we arrived there, we started immediately to set everything up and to check the branding both outside and inside, as well as to expand it further.
For every participant of the event wristbands in 12 group colours had been arranged. This was intended to divide people immediately into groups for the organised group activities. Furthermore, the hired technicians had already started in the plenary hall and the “grab a chair” concept had already been set up.

At 08:30 the first participants of the event were already trickling in and we were able to register them and direct them to the coffee with a treat. At 09:00 sharp everyone was inside and the plenary session could begin. We ushered the people in and it was great to see that the “Grab a Chair” concept appealed to them. We had also had the room decorated with 1,000 red balloons, which gave a lovely effect.
The “Business Flirting” workshop”
Around 11 o'clock it was time for Angelique ’t Riet, we love working with her and for this event too she was a great fit with her “Business Flirting” workshop.
In the meantime, we set about preparing all the gadgets (we had organised super cool boots) to measure and personalised with names.
After everyone had been sufficiently mentally challenged in this workshop, it was time for lunch to recharge for two very special activities, namely the sheep herding and fencing workshop.
Around 5 pm we were able to check everyone in, after having placed a nice Red Bull/Jos Verstappen umbrella in all the rooms. At 6 pm it was time for drinks, followed by a winter barbecue. Together with Bilderberg, we had created a truly wintery atmosphere. A nice large tent, fire pits, market stalls and a spit-roasted pig. A lively DJ provided the musical backdrop and the atmosphere was soon great.

Father Christmas and two Black Peters also dropped by for a moment to put people in the spotlight. After that, everyone really hit the dance floor.
To wrap up the evening, we had organised a pub quiz. Together with our regular pub quiz supplier, the two masters got to work again. With them, success is guaranteed!
Around 01:00 everyone was tired but also definitely satisfied! Time to head to the rooms, in order to appear somewhat fresh for the workshops the next day after all. Because those were starting again at 09:00! At 16:00 this day came to an end too and we could look back on a very successful 2-day event! Be sure to also check out the aftermovie of this event!
