Inspection trip to fairytale Finnish Lapland!
Lotte and Diewertje visited Finnish Lapland and tested out the cool activities from both our regular and new suppliers! Fly direct to Rovaniemi this winter!
Yes! This winter KLM is flying once a week to our all-time favourite winter destination: Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. From 3 December 2022 to 25 March 2023, a direct flight will depart every Saturday from Amsterdam to this winter paradise just above the Arctic Circle!

- Geographical location: Lapland is not a single country, but is the northernmost region of Europe, close to the polar regions. Thus, Lapland is spread across Norway, Finland, Sweden and Russia. However, Finnish Lapland is the most popular among travellers.
- Pet The number of reindeer in Lapland is roughly equal to the human population and they are often kept as gentle domestic pets, but you can also spot them in the wild and on your plate as a traditional Lappish speciality.
- Meet Father ChristmasThe one and only, official Santa Claus lives in Rovaniemi (Finnish Lapland)! All the others you see in shopping centres are unfortunately fake 😉
- White night In June and July, the sun stays above the horizon at night in Finland, casting a white light in the middle of the night. Alongside the Northern Lights, these nightless nights are the most iconic phenomenon!
- Unique ski location: The suitable weather conditions and the many snowy hills also make Lapland a perfect place for skiing!
