Ultimate summer incentive travel to Split and Hvar!
Last June, Lotte, Diewertje & Dian from team goMICE travelled with an enthusiastic group of 167 young professionals to sunny Split & Hvar! Split is one of Croatia's most beautiful cities with its atmospheric streets, lively Riva boulevard and architectural highlights. Hvar is also known as the Ibiza of Croatia. An island with a vibrant nightlife, surrounded by azure waters and stunning lavender fields. As you can hear... a wonderful combination of destinations, which proved to be the case once again on this trip! In this blog we take you through the cool three-day travel itinerary.
Day 1: Private flight, city food game and pool dinner
Exclusive VIP charter to Split
Travelling with a group of 167 people is quite a logistical challenge. Fortunately, we dodged the massive crowds at Schiphol by flying to Croatia on an exclusive VIP charter! And let's be honest: how cool is that? A private plane for your organisation, complete with the option to have your corporate identity featured on the aircraft. After a smooth check-in and security control, we departed right on time for Split. Everyone was in high spirits and, despite the early morning flight, there was plenty of toasting (and sleeping) going on.
City food game and ferry
Once landed in Split, the bus journey to the city centre followed, after which the participants explored the city during a tasty city game. Enjoying the sun and the beautiful inner city with a refreshing drink and local bites. Subsequently, the journey was continued by ferry to Hvar, where a super fast check-in at the hotel followed: WE LIKE!
Pool party dinner
The first day of travel was concluded with a celebratory poolside dinner! The hotel's pool area was wonderfully decorated with beautiful buffets, atmospheric lighting, an extra-large projection screen and, of course, pleasant music! The dinner got underway during sunset and flowed into a sociable evening, including an open bar and a company pub quiz. The programme ended at 23:00, after which a large part of the group ventured out into Hvar's nightlife themselves!
Day 2: enjoying, dancing and cooling down on the azure water
Boat party!
After a lie-in (for the group 😉) and a hearty breakfast, it was time for a wonderful afternoon on the crystal-clear water: two private Dalmatian boats were waiting in the port of Hvar, which could be heard from afar thanks to the DJs who gave the group a festive welcome. The boats sailed along the impressive coastline, making various swimming stops along the way, enjoying a BBQ lunch and everyone dancing away on the sun deck with a drink in hand. At the end of the afternoon, the boats docked back at the port of Hvar, after which the group could nicely relax by the hotel's swimming pool.
Sunset dinner at a magical location
The final evening of the trip was truly magical! For instance, the group was split into smaller groups and taken to the Pakleni Islands by various speedboats. It was a real WOW experience to speed across the water as the sun was setting and sail towards the restaurant. The restaurant's spacious terrace has magnificent views of the sea and truly has a paradisiacal atmosphere thanks to its unique location in a botanical garden and the lovely lighting from huge lanterns. All the participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were beaming from ear to ear. The evening concluded once again with speedboat journeys back to Hvar, after which many continued to enjoy the warm summer evening well into the small hours at the renowned Carpe Diem Nightclub!
Day 3: A trip to remember!

After a late breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we took the ferry back to Split. Where the trip was brought to a festive conclusion at the trendy Roof68 rooftop bar. Right up to the last minute, the group enjoyed the music, the sun and each other's great company!
Back home
At the end of the day, we flew back to Amsterdam by exclusive VIP charter. The bond within the group was immense after these three days. An objective that was more than achieved! And if the reactions of all participants are anything to go by, it was 100% a wonderful trip to remember!
