An anniversary trip & inspection to Edinburgh
To ensure we can offer our customers the best quality when it comes to hotels, restaurants, and activities at a particular destination, we regularly visit our suppliers to conduct a quality check. Additionally, while we're there, we visit new locations, as you never know if there's another gem we can use for upcoming incentive trips!
IT company on a trip to Scotland for 10th anniversary
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of an IT company from the Rotterdam area, Anita and Nadia travelled to beautiful Scotland. This anniversary trip was a combination of a meeting with various interesting speakers. In addition, we also organised a fun element, completely to the client's wishes!
Personalised support on site
The group wished for us to meet them upon their arrival at the airport, so we at goMICE decided to travel to Scotland the day before. There, we immediately visited several suppliers in Glasgow and Luss, located in the Scottish Highlands. Among other things, we took a short speedboat tour on Loch Lomond in the new boats belonging to our supplier.

This was very spectacular and beautiful in this lovely setting!

By train to Edinburgh
After a successful afternoon and evening, the following morning we departed early by train for Edinburgh Waverley Station. A very fast and easy connection between the two cities. Within an hour, you're off the train and standing in the middle of beautiful Edinburgh. Here we made the first preparations, a check at the hotel. Are all the room keys ready? and at the restaurant where the group was going to have lunch Are the menus ready, are all the tables nicely set?.

The start of the anniversary trip in Edinburgh
Next, we drove towards the airport where we welcomed the group with a warm reception. After a transfer of approximately 30 minutes, the group arrived at the restaurant where they enjoyed a delicious, local Scottish meal. The atmosphere was immediately good, and everyone was eager to explore the city with an iPad Challenge. Through various questions and photo and video assignments, the group explored the city in small teams. Meanwhile, there was a fierce competition for the most points, and amusing photos and videos were taken.
In the evening, a dinner at one of Edinburgh's most beautiful restaurants was planned. All participants gathered in their finest attire in the hotel lobby, after which we accompanied them, together with a Scottish bagpiper, to the restaurant.

The group enjoyed the delicious, classic Scottish food with a modern twist!
The meeting in Scotland
The next morning, there was a meeting scheduled with several interesting speakers invited. After an inspiring gathering, it was (unfortunately) time for the final lunch, a few minutes' walk from the Grassmarket. This atmospheric restaurant is always busy and has an informal vibe. Here, the dishes are all prepared with local produce according to original recipes. It was a pleasant time for a catch-up about the night before and plans for the remaining free hours in the city. Some people visited Edinburgh Castle, some went shopping, and for others, the terrace beckoned for one last drink in this charming city.

In the late afternoon, we jointly headed towards the airport, from where we flew back to Amsterdam in just over an hour. Want to know more about an incentive trip with your colleagues to Edinburgh or another location? Then contact us Contact Meet us!
