International travel advice and measures at your travel destination

Travel measures

Countries and airlines have different requirements for admitting travellers in relation to COVID-19. A PCR test, proof of recovery, or proof of vaccination may be part of these.

International travel from various countries

Since 17 September 2022, the requirement to have a test, recovery, or vaccination certificate has been abolished for people travelling to the Netherlands from within the EU/Schengen Area, as well as from countries outside the EU/Schengen Area.The United Kingdom is not an EU/Schengen country.

Travelling to European destinations

Since July 2021, all countries in the EU have a green, yellow, orange or red colour code as travel advice. Which means safe travel to all European destinations is possible if you have a corona certificate and the destination is coloured yellow or green.

Face masks

Local authorities at your destination may have different rules regarding the measures in place in the Netherlands. Please note, for example, that some destinations and airlines only approve surgical face masks. Therefore, well before departure, inquire with the airline about the type of face mask you must wear during your flight or upon arrival at the airport of your destination. You are expected to bring your own.
