Sales meeting and activities in Vienna
A few months ago, we received a new request from one of our regular clients in the logistics services sector. At goMICE, we organise an annual sales meeting abroad for this client, combined with a fun activity. This year, we were entrusted with organising the trip to Vienna. Thanks in part to our local contacts at this destination, we have put together a fitting and surprising programme that combines business and leisure.
Organising a sales meeting
When organising a meeting abroad, the choice of hotel is of paramount importance. In addition to having sufficient rooms, the hotel must also possess the right conference facilities. Through our expertise in the Organising meetings & conferences We know the best locations by heart by now! In consultation with our client, we chose the Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien. A beautiful four-star hotel a 15-minute walk from the historic centre of Vienna.
On the first day in Vienna: time for the meeting!
After a flight of about two hours, the group arrived in the imperial and colourful city of Vienna. After a journey, we often plan a quiet moment so that everyone can relax and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. Upon arrival at the hotel, a delicious 3-course lunch was ready. After this, the sales meeting would commence. The meeting room was, of course, equipped with all the necessary facilities such as a beamer, a flip chart, a screen, and coffee, tea, fruit juice, and water.
After the meeting, a bus was ready to take the group to a sister depot in Vienna. Vienna boasts a large number of fantastic restaurants, but we wanted to arrange one of the very best spots in Vienna for this group. That evening, the group dined at Vienna's premier SKY bar. Here, they enjoyed a magnificent view over the city, all whilst savouring a 3-course meal of Austrian cuisine mixed with international specialities. Naturally, we take everyone's dietary requirements into consideration beforehand.
The second day in Vienna: time for relaxation and fun activities!
After an extensive breakfast, it was time for a fun activity. In the morning, the group was picked up from the hotel by two local guides. They told them all the ins and outs of this beautiful city. Fun fact: Vienna, with its many parks and good infrastructure, has been named the most liveable city in the world.
Vienna is the city of extremes: from Classical tot modern, and Chic tot Street and imperial tot Volkswagen. Additionally, you'll find diverse Western and Eastern influences. On the one hand, this city is characterised by the classic image of Sissi with horse-drawn carriages, but the trendy districts and hip restaurants are still less discovered.
The guide led the group through the most charming spots, hand-picked in collaboration with us. And to round off the day in spectacular fashion, we had one more amazing activity in store. The tour with the guide actually ended at the starting point for a proper Hotrod tour!
This tour is a great way to explore the elegant Austrian capital further in a special way. This is done with the guidance of a radio guide, so no one misses anything on the route. An exciting group activity to conclude this successful sales meeting!
