Two-day study trip to Chantilly
As can often be read in the goMICE blogs, we regularly go on study trips to popular destinations to carry out an inspection of the region. During these trips, we visit local suppliers such as hotels, restaurants and providers of incentive activities. We also hope to discover new locations once again so that we can surprise our clients with a unique, tailor-made offering. In this blog, I would like to share more about a short, two-day study trip I made to Chantilly.
The Hauts-de-France region
Chantilly is located in the Hauts-de-France region and is easily accessible from European capitals, partly thanks to its location near Paris. Hauts-de-France is a large area with around 6 million inhabitants. As well as Chantilly, this region is home to the destinations of Amiens, Grand Arras, Dunkirk, Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Lille, Saint-Quentin and Valenciennes. Heritage and culture are of paramount importance, and a visit here allows you to experience the ‘real’, authentic France.
Incentive activities in and around Chantilly
There are various surprising incentive activities possible in the region. Think of:
- Visit a horse race meeting
- Horse riding
- one or multi-day city trip to Paris
- Wine and French cheese tasting
- Organise your event or congress in the magnificent Château de Chantilly
- Taking in some culture at the exceptional Louvre-Lens museum
Going to Chantilly with a group
The simplest way to get to this special place is by Eurostar. Board at Amsterdam or Rotterdam and you are in France in no time. Travelling by Eurostar is very comfortable and several compartments can be reserved for a large group. From the Eurostar's new stop at Charles de Gaulle, you can take a coach and continue to Chantilly in about 25 minutes. The best thing is to combine an incentive trip to Chantilly with a day city trip. For example, think of holding an event or meeting in Chantilly and organising a city trip the day after.
