Case: How we organised a summer incentive trip for 220 people to Montenegro!
What was the assignment?
After incentive trips in recent years to Barcelona and Croatia Having organised it, our regular client opted for a 3-day incentive trip to Montenegro this year! An out-of-the-box destination where we flew to in June with two private charters. The goal of the trip? To thoroughly appreciate all colleagues after the hard work of the past year. And that was more than achieved in this beautiful Balkan country! We will take you through the travel itinerary and show you how we managed to make this XL trip a success.
How have we shaped this?
Luxury enjoyment at Avala Resort & Villas
Our base for this trip was the Avala Resort & Villas, a truly magnificent location that perfectly combines luxury and comfort. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the old town of Budva and offers a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea. The modern facilities, excellent service and stylish accommodation made our group feel welcome from the very first moment.
Sunset Diner
Finding a suitable venue for a group of 200+ people can be quite challenging. But for the first evening, we've found an absolute gem: Restaurant Vista. Situated on top of a hill with a magnificent view over Budva. It's also known for its high-quality cuisine, focusing on fresh, local ingredients and refined Mediterranean dishes: the perfect place to start the trip.
All at sea
Day two featured a boat trip along the coast of the Bay of Kotor. Forward-thinking proved essential here. Although we were assured everything was organised, upon arrival several things were found to be missing: not enough drinks and a non-functioning DJ booth were quickly discovered! After swift action and a quick clean-up, everything was ready before the group arrived. With several swimming stops, food onboard, and space to dance, the boat day was a great success!
Exclusive club
No incentive trip is complete without a good party. After the closing dinner, the evening concluded at the Perla Club, which was exclusively hired out for the group for two hours. Partying in style is guaranteed! An evening full of fun that will remain in the participants' memories for a long time to come. The cosy atmosphere meant we received a request to find an additional venue to round off the weekend together. Thanks to our connections and knowledge of the area, we were able to arrange this last minute. Much to the group's delight!
Added value of goMICE
Travelling to Eastern Europe brings its own unique challenges. The rules of engagement here can be different from other parts of Europe. With a group size like this, we standardly ensure that enough colleagues from goMICE travel with you during the trip and that we have enough hands on the ground to coordinate the journey. Additionally, at this location, we worked with a local partner who primarily helps with the language barrier and translating the client's wishes, allowing us to react quickly where necessary and prevent unpleasant surprises.
On the way back, we experienced an unexpected delay with the charters, which meant we had to divert to Maastricht Airport instead of Schiphol Airport. However, our team was well-prepared and arranged alternative bus transport from Maastricht, complete with refreshments. This made the uncomfortable a little more comfortable, and despite the delay, every participant arrived home safely.
This trip showed that you never know what will come your way, but that we are ready to help and add value to every group. Whether it's solving last-minute problems or providing extra service for additional customer requests. Our team is there to ensure everything runs smoothly!

The 220 participants experienced an impeccable and fantastic incentive trip. We heard multiple times that this was another trip to never forget. Pure enjoyment for all colleagues! Which destination will it be next year? Our heads are already bursting with new ideas!
