This winter sports paradise is one of the most popular ski areas in Austria, and we completely understand why. With 40km of blue (easy) pistes, 69km of red (intermediate) pistes and 33km of black (difficult) pistes, Mayrhofen is perfect for all types of winter sports enthusiasts, from beginners to seasoned skiers and snowboarders. The real daredevils can try their hand at the Harakiri piste, with a 78% gradient, it's one of the steepest and most notorious pistes in the Alps. Never skied before? The highly experienced ski instructors will ensure you can ski independently down the piste in no time during a private or group lesson.

- SledgingA fifteen-minute drive from Mayrhofen lies the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal. Guaranteed fun on this 7km long toboggan run! Along the way, you can stop at the Schlittenstadl Sonnalm for a delicious bite to eat and drink, and fantastic mountain views.

An après-ski party
A day on skis or snowboard can be rounded off festively in one of the many apres-ski venues. There's plenty to experience both on the slopes and in the village. On the slopes, the DJs at Kasermandl provide a party atmosphere daily. The atmosphere is also great at the Pilzbar – as the name suggests. Once you're back in the valley, you can enjoy apres-ski until the early hours at places like Brück’n Stadl, the Ice Bar, and the Harakiri Bar.
