Top 5 incentive destinations Europe
As an organiser of (international) Meetings, incentives, concepts, Events and other group trips as Inspirational journeys and Business club travel We often end up in the most beautiful places on earth. In this blog, we'd like to take you to our top 5 incentive destinations in Europe. These European destinations consistently surprise us (and the participants of our incentive trips). We've already written a travel report about many of the incentive trips to these European destinations. our blog page. In this blog post, we're delighted to tell you why these destinations are in our top 5.
Before we move on to this, we would like to make a small disclaimer. There are many more fantastic destinations in Europe for an incentive trip. Also less obvious countries such as Jordan, Lapland and Hungary are, for example, excellent destinations for a highly organised incentive trip.
However, we will limit ourselves to just 5 European destinations in random order:
Seville, Spain
Seville has been one of our favourite European destinations for an incentive trip for years. The city is one of the most reliably sunny cities in Europe and, in terms of art, culture, and history, is truly a feast for the eyes! We know the venues where we can organise enjoyable and educational workshops like the back of our hand. We know the suitable restaurants we select for groups in Seville inside out, although new gems are discovered from time to time during our own inspection trips. Last year, Managing Director Anita travelled to the Andalusian city in combination with the beautiful Malaga during an inspection trip!

2. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon is also a city where we have organised numerous incentive trips. The magnificent 5-star hotel, Tivoli Lisboa, located in the heart of Lisbon, is one of our favourite accommodations for groups. This hotel is a real godsend, particularly in terms of logistics: almost all of the restaurants we’ve selected are within walking distance of the hotel. Furthermore, the hotel's famous rooftop bar is an excellent location to organise a welcome drink. And bumping into a celebrity here is not uncommon! We ourselves ran into one during our pre-inspection trip the Portuguese football hero, Cristiano Ronaldo. There are also plenty of activities to undertake in Lisbon. Consider a ride on the old tram, a bike tour, a tapas-making contest or a city tour with GoCars!

3. Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza naturally belongs to Spain, but on this island, you'll find yourself in completely different spheres than, for example, in Seville or Valencia. It's a destination where almost nothing is too crazy! The island boasts incredibly beautiful and luxurious hotels, like one of our favourites: Hotel Aguas de Ibiza*****. Another hotel with a fantastic rooftop for a welcome drink! 😉 The restaurants we select for our incentive trips to Ibiza enhance the island's atmosphere. You'll experience the real “Good-Life-feeling” there. Incidentally, we don't always stay on the island itself. For example, the restaurant Juan y Andrea on the beautiful island of Formentera (across from Ibiza) is a popular destination during our incentive trips. There's also more than enough to do in terms of (sporty) activities on Ibiza. Therefore, it's never a huge puzzle for us to create a fun programme for An incentive trip to Ibiza.

4. Naples, Italy
First see Naples and then die. The saying is there for a reason and we are therefore more than happy to include Naples in this top 5 of incentive destinations in Europe. Naples is beautiful, impressive and surprising at the same time. During our incentive travel to Naples we (almost) always visit Mount Vesuvius, for instance. We brave the volcano to - once at the top - enjoy the view, but also, for instance, to visit Pompeii afterwards and take a moment to remember the tragedy that took place here in 79 AD. To brighten things up afterwards, we are only too happy to visit the local limoncello factory. Usually - thanks in part to the divine drink - the mood then soon returns. An incentive trip is only successful if there are several WOW moments. For this reason, we almost always select Hotel Gran Vesuvio for our incentive trips to Naples. The hotel has stunning views over the Bay of Naples and the small peninsula Castel dell'Ovo. The little peninsula contains an old castle and some great restaurants. Restaurant La Scialuppa usually provides the second WOW moment. Here you still eat real fresh fish straight from the sea, prepared for you by locals in the restaurant's kitchen. Apart from all this, the city is great to combine with Capri, the beautiful southern Italian island of rich & famous! Naples therefore definitely deserves a spot in this top 5 incentive destinations in Europe.

5. (South) Tyrol, Austria & Italy
You're probably thinking: so far, I've only seen sunny destinations in this top 5 of incentive destinations in Europe. Is there no great incentive destination for me as an avid winter sports enthusiast? Absolutely! At goMICE, the months of January, February, and March are largely dedicated to winter sports incentives. In our opinion, a good winter sports destination for an incentive trip always meets:
- Plenty of sun and good snow;
- Have lots of fun;
- A wide range of diverse slopes;
- A cosy atmosphere;
- And of course, delicious food and drink!
One quickly thinks of Winterberg, Sölden and Gerlos And these are certainly destinations that we regularly include on our incentive trips.

However, for this blog, we've chosen a lesser-known winter sports destination: Val Gardena in the Dolomites (South Tyrol, Italy). Val Gardena is located near Bolzano in Trentino, just across the border from Austria. It's a truly fantastic area for winter sports. With approximately 500 kilometres of pistes and one of the longest descents in the world, there's plenty to do for every winter sports enthusiast, whether you're hitting the slopes for the first time on an incentive trip or have been a seasoned skier for years. Unique to this region is the local cuisine. After all, the area belonged to Austria until 1919 but was annexed by Italy after World War I. This has led to a fusion of Italian cuisine with Austrian hospitality and cosiness. An ideal combination. The well-known Austrian après-ski can also be found here, of course.
